Chocolate Chip Heaven… I mean cookies!
So I’ve mentioned my chocolate chocolate chip cookies with chocolate frosting a bazillion times on FetLife. I’ve teased and taunted. Tormented and tantalized. Tortured and… I’m out of “T” words.
So this morning, I thought, “I want to put up another recipe. Another dessert recipe. What should I share today?”
Well, since I’m sure Scott will never let Kaya make them anyway, I figured I’d share my chocolate chip heaven. I r teh ebil kitteh!
I will warn you! They are rich as all get out.
And the frosting is thick. As in, held a prayer candle (didn’t have birthday candles) upright with no extra help for two hours while I waited for Master to get home from work on His birthday, thick. I’m betting you could use the frosting recipe for a cake. You might need more of it, though.
2 Cups chocolate chips (I used semisweet but it’s probably just as good with any kind)
1 1/4 Cup flour
3/4 Teaspoon baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Cup butter (or margarine)
1/4 Cup granulated sugar
1/2 Cup brown sugar, packed
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Large egg
1/2 Cup nuts (optional)
Frosting:
2 Tablespoons butter
1 1/4 Cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 375F.
Melt 3/4 cup chips and cool to room temperature. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Then beat in melted chocolate and egg. Stir in 3/4 cup unmelted chips. Drop spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet and bake 8-9 minutes. Allow to cool and frost.
Frosting:
Melt remaining chips and butter. Add sugar and milk.
Voila! Chocolate chip heaven!

Oh hell that is just evil. I think I might have to make some, although I am thinking powdered sugar is the equivalent of what we call icing sugar here, I’ll let ya know how they go
