Material: Mesh / Lace / Satin

First, let me say that I’m really glad I only read the customer comment on this item and ignored the actual review. Or maybe there wasn’t an actual review when I first added this gown to my wish list? Either way, I decided to buy this because of this line right here:

This gown is a great way to hide those little love handles.

I was already enamored with the photo.  But that line was what sealed the deal.

The gown the previous reviewer got must have been a fluke? Cause Master and I are both hopelessly enamored with the product, now, too.

We haven’t gotten around to taking pictures of me in it, yet, except the one of my boobs.  Soon.  I promise.

If not, I might use that Delrin Cane on Him beg real pretty again.

Ooo, what’s that?

I’ve been babbling about this product for weeks on Twitter.  If you don’t know what this is by now, I don’t know what I’m gonna do with you.  But for those of you who haven’t taken to Twitter to hear me verbally vomit all day, this is the Red Satin and Lace Gown, in size 2X, by Fantasy Lingerie.

How’s it made?

Of satin… and lace?

It’s mainly made up of a stretchy, nylon satin that reaches the floor.  It’s very thin.  Bright red.

The lace is a flowery pattern on top of mesh.

It has spaghetti straps and elastic holding the top up.  Between the boobies is a ribbon rose.  The cups of the bodice are split in half diagonally from their triangle tops down through the nipple.  The lace dips in at the waist and then splits and flares out at an angle down each leg.  In the middle is a triangle of satin that starts just above the belly button and continues to the floor.

How do you care for it?

Get this… You throw it in the washing machine!

No lie! I musta read and reread the damn tag a hundred times to make sure I wasn’t reading it wrong.  Purple on black is tricky on the eyes.

Machine wash it, separately, with warm water on the gentle cycle.  Get one of those lingerie bags if it’ll make you feel better.  Or do as I do, and hand wash it.

I always toss it in the dryer on low, though.  The tag says to so I do.  If I don’t, the material starts to lose its elasticity, a bit, and my boobs start to sag.  That’s no fun at all.

How is it?

Pros: Cons:
sexy
not too revealing
holds up my DDDs
pricey
color bleeds
loses elasticity between washes

Aside from being a little pricier than I like (which could be a product of a) me knowing absolutely nothing about lingerie, b) having to buy a 2X or c) me being a cheapskate), I absolutely adore this gown.

The peek-a-boo triangles of lace are incredibly sexy, even on a fat girl like me.  The satin feels amazing on my skin.  It holds my boobs up better than the bras I currently own (which means I definitely need to go bra shopping).  It absolutely does hide love handles and cottage cheese thighs and saggy boobs.  And it makes me feel feminine, pretty and desirable, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of my wardrobe.  Something I plan to fix little by little in the very near future.

The real clincher, though, was Master’s reaction.

His eyes lit up when I took it out of the box.  I absolutely abhor red but He loves it.

I went to change, and when I came out of the bedroom, He couldn’t take His eyes off me.  Or His hands.  Or… other things.

The gown didn’t stay on long.

Now, however, I’ve been ordered to buy as much not-so-revealing lingerie as I can find to wear around the house instead of spending my days naked.  It seems there’s something to be said for a woman wandering around the house in something that simultaneously hides and reveals her.

I have two complaints.  The material starts to loosen after wearing it a couple times without washing, but that’s true of any material, really.  And the color doesn’t seem to be set at all.  The water is always blood red when I wash it.  So be careful you wash it separately or with other reds, like the instructions say.

Where’d ya get it?
