Product Review: Coochy Protection After Shave Mist by Holiday Products

November 28th, 2009

41V9wAl4YGL._SY450_Ooo, what’s that?

That would be the Coochy Collection’s counterpart, Coochy After Shave Protection Mist, by Holiday Products.

What’d it come in?

Coochy Protection comes in a clear, recyclable plastic (4oz) spray bottle.  It’s wrapped in a pink label sporting an artistic nude sketch, its claims to fame and the ingredients.

What’s in it?

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Echinacea Angustifolia Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf, Stem Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Trifolium Prantese (Clover) Flower Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Propylparaben

What’s it for?

Coochy Protection is a light after shave spray also designed with your bikini line in mind.  It forms a protective barrier between your skin and clothing to prevent irritation caused by friction.  It moisturizes, soothes and shields fresh-shaven skin, while tightening your pores to prevent ingrown hairs.  You can use it on any part of your body (face, legs, puss, etc.) to compliment the smooth shave of Coochy Collection.

How is it?

Pros: Cons:
Smells nice
Reduces irritation and ingrown hairs
None

Watch out for that burn, the first time around.  It really catches you off guard.  Other than that, I absolutely adore Coochy Protection.

It has a soft, sagey aroma to it.  You can spray it upside down, right side up, sideways, anyways you like! And it does all it claims.

I used to get ingrown hairs like they were going out of style.  Add to that the friction of underwear and tight pants, and by the end of the day, they were the size of a dime and purple.  Not to mention painful.

These days, if I get an ingrown hair at all, it stays small and manageable.  It’s much less painful and easier to remove.

I’ve been going at least two days between shaves, as opposed to my usual every day shaving.  And if I feel the start of razor burn or irritation, I just spritz Coochy Protection on the area and it’s gone in seconds.

For best results, use Coochy Protection after shaving with Coochy-Original Rash-Free Shaving Cream, also by Holiday Products.

Where’d ya get it?

I bought Coochy After Shave Protection Mist from that store but you can pick up a bottle from Amazon.
