Ooo, what’s that?

Have you ever masturbated with cum? Wished you could, but were afraid of the potential STIs? This lube is for you. It’s Spunk Lube by D. Enterprises.

What’d it come in?

You know, I’ve already forgotten. I mean, I remember the package was discreet, and the bottles were all sealed, but I can’t, for the life of me, remember what KIND of package it was in. Oops. I guess I shoulda written it down.

The lube itself is in a pump top recyclable plastic bottle. All lube should have tops like this one. It sticks out far enough so that you can put your hand under it, and dispense the goo with no mess. I love this concept. Lube is messy enough without having to futz around with the lid.

Ingredients
Water
Dimethicone
Dimethiconol
Cyclopentasiloxane
Cyclohexasiloxane
Propylene Glycol
Hydroxymethylcellulose
Glycerine
Methylparaben

What’s it for?

This lube can be used with any toy material, and is even safe for condoms. It’s meant to make your sexcapades a slip-sliding good time, no matter where you use it. Use it for hand jobs, anal sex, masturbation, sex toys, vaginal sex, titty fucking…whatever you think needs a little extra glide.

How is it?

Rayne’s Rating:
Pros: Cons:
looks and feels like (pink) cum
doesn’t react with toys
doesn’t gum
doesn’t flake
reactivated with water or saliva
pump top
Glycerine
Methylparaben

I really love this lube. Like, a lot. It doesn’t gum or flake or dry up. I can use it with ANY of my toys, and it’s safe with condoms. If it does dry up (which I’d imagine would take a really long time), it’s reactivated with water or saliva. It smells a little soapy, but I actually like that. I can’t stand the lubes that smell like fruit, or…just funky. It’s just an all around excellent concoction.

Some of you are looking at that ingredients list, though, and going “But, Rayne. It has Glycerine and Methylparaben. WHY ARE YOU USING THIS LUBE?!”

Well, first off, let’s talk about the Glycerine.

I have issues with Glycerine, sometimes, so I understand your concern. Most lubes that use it make me burn in the places I use it. I hear it’s got something to do with sugar, and it can cause yeast infections? Or something. I haven’t had any of those issues, so if you’re Glycerine sensitive, you might be safe with this lube. Test a small amount before going full on with it.

As for the Methylparaben, I did some research, and there is not currently any concrete evidence that parabens actually cause or exacerbate cancer (or any other maladies). They have found an inordinate amount of Methylparaben in cancerous tumors (especially in breast cancer), but they don’t know why that happens. It could be that cancer draws Methylparaben to it, instead of developing because of its presence. Figuring out which needs more research.

Either way, I know some of you prefer to be safe, and that’s totally up to you. But this lube is fab. I love it. And since I’ve never been the type of person to not risk my health for something I love, I’ll continue to use it till it’s gone, and then I’ll probably pick up some more. It’s just that good.

Where’d ya get it?

D. Enterprises sent me Spunk Hybrid free of charge in exchange for an honest review. D. Enterprises manufactures award winning personal lubricants. They released STR8cam Lube in 2010 and it quickly became the lube of choice for many adult studios. Their next product line, SPUNK Lube, was released in 2011. The SPUNK Lube line-up not only consists of their award winning hybrid formula but also includes two new fun lubes, SPUNK Lube Pure Silicone and SPUNK Lube Pink.

I wonder if the manufacturer has received any feedback about glycerine and methylparaben. Reformulating the lube without those ingredients should be trivial.

Yes, actually he has. He said that it will not contain glycerine when they re-vamp it. I’ve noticed there’s been a bit of a stink about the ingredients. Personally, I love the lube. I just can’t get past the ingredient list. @dv8
