Ooo, what’s that?

neoThat? Oh, that’s just one of the most comfortable anal plugs I’ve ever used. No joke. It’s called Neo and it’s from Tantus.

How’s it made?

Insertable Diameter
Neo 4″ 1.4″
B Bomb 3.25″ 1.25″
Ryder 4″ 1.5″

The Tantus Neo is made of 100% pure platinum silicone. This means it’s nonporous, and completely body safe. The fact that it’s a butt plug makes this a major plus. Nonporous means that it won’t retain ass smells, and you can disinfect it.

The base is not flared as much as most other plugs, but it is not unsafe. In fact, the design of this base prevents chafing, and comfortably keeps the plug from sliding inside of you. And the neck is long enough that people who have thicker anal muscles, and need a bit of extra space, will enjoy this anal plug as well.

What’s it for?

Plugging your butt. You can use this alone or with a partner. It’s great for masturbation and double penetration. And it’s perfect for long term wear.

You could probably use this plug vaginally, as well. This is just not something I do. Mostly because I’ve got short arms and I’m fat.

How is it?

Rayne’s Rating:
Pros: Cons:
silicone
comfortable base
no chaffing
easy to insert
great for beginners
body probably could stand to be a little squishier

I think Neo will be replacing Ryder for a while. Yeah…it’s that good. Not that I don’t still love Ryder, but…

So a few years ago I developed a touch of IBS. I don’t want to talk about it.

I have serious aversions to waste material of all sorts. Garbage, urine, uterine lining, vomit, and for sure feces are, like, the grossest things in the history of ever. I can deal with them when I have to (which is a good thing, cuz they’re all facts of life), but I’d rather not have them involved in my sex, if I can avoid it. Of course, M’s all about golden showers, and there was that one time he fucked me in the woods with a bag of garbage hanging above my head, but we avoid the others like the plague.

This is the main reason I hate the Tantus Zing. Extraction was occasionally messy when my digestive tract was healthy, and even when I cleansed via enema or anal douche. I don’t even want to think about what it would be like now.

So, since butt sex has become something that requires planning, it has also become something we don’t do often. M and I are just too spontaneous for that shit. I can’t tell you how many work days one or both of us has to work late because we stopped in the middle to fuck. That’s just who we are. And it would take so much longer, meaning we’d have to work later, if it included an enema and a shower.

Less butt play means my anus has become less flexible, which means insertion takes more patience (and lube). And for some reason, Ryder’s body just isn’t doing it for me. I think it’s the difference in the tip. The pointier tip of Neo and much more graduated growth of the body, gives my anus smaller changes to adjust to as I insert the toy.

I have B Bomb, which is squishy like Ryder, and pointed and more graduated like Neo, but I like Neo better than B Bomb, too. Mostly because I can never put my hands on a bullet vibe (I don’t really use them, so they’re always lost), and B Bomb is difficult to insert without one. The neck is just too flimsy. A flimsy neck and a lube-y hand makes inserting B Bomb feel like one of those clown shows where the clown is always having accidents, only instead of seltzer water and cream pie, it’s my ass and a bullet-shaped piece of silicone. Trust me, the latter’s more painful.

The first time I saw Neo, I was a little worried about the base. It’s pretty thin, and those curves don’t look like they’d stand up to a big, strong butt (or a fat chick sitting on them all day, as the case may be). They do, though. And it’s way more comfortable than even the round base of B Bomb (which is pretty comfortable).

I only wish Neo was a tiny bit squishier. You know how occasionally, you’ll get a silicone toy, but it’s not actually solid silicone? It’s, like, hard plastic coated with silicone? I used to have a butt plug like that. It was a horse tail, and the widest part of the plug was hard plastic inside. It was always painful to put that last inch or so in because of the plastic. Neo is just a hair or two softer than that. Not painful to insert, but a little firmer than I was hoping.

Other than that, I love it. Neo’s slender base makes this butt plug comfortable and safe for short or long term wear. It’s virtually invisible because the base rests comfortably between your cheeks. Overall, it’s a really awesome addition to my collection.

Anything else I should know?

Use water based lube only.

Wash with non-abrasive antibacterial soap. Disinfect by boiling, using a 10% bleach/90% water solution, or tossing it in the top drawer of your dishwasher.

Store with your other silicone.

I’ve read reviews that mention a “plastic” smell. My Neo did not have this issue, but if yours does, after washing and disinfecting, allow it to sit somewhere in the open air. The smell should dissipate after a day or so.

Where’d ya get it?

Tantus sent me the Neo free of charge in exchange for an honest review. Tantus is, by far, my favorite brand of dildos. They’re pretty great with kink toys, and butt plugs, too.

Metis Black had this idea that people might like to have safe, artistic sex toys. And boy, was she ever right. All of the Tantus toys are body safe and hypoallergenic. And they look and feel good, too.

I’ve always thought this toy looked exceptionally comfortable, I was just a bit worried because the silicone looked like it coulg be SUPER draggy. Glad to see it receive such a positive review, it just moved up a few notches on my wishlist.

@ Bex Well, I mean, it’s silicone, so there is a little bit of drag, but a little lube fixes that right up. Insertion was a breeze. Not a single hiccup. I freakin love it.

I want one! The Ryder takes prep work and I can’t wear it as long as I’d like to. The smaller size plus the easy to insert shape makes this a must have.
I really appreciate the comparison to the B-Bomb. I didn’t think I needed something quite so small, and you’ve assured me that the Neo is better anyhow. 🙂

Erg. Sounds like an awesome plug, BUT TOO BIG FOR ME! I’m still in the beginning process of discovering my little butt hole. Thanks for putting that size comparison! I might get this one when I’m ready, I does look less bulky than the Ryder.

@ Camryn B Bomb’s great if you always have a Tantus bullet handy for insertion, but without it, the neck just collapses. I can’t remember how B Bomb was for long term wear. Gonna have to hunt it down and give it another go. But I definitely like Neo better.

@ Reenie You could give B Bomb a go. It’s a bit on the squishy side, and is a quarter inch thinner than Neo. Another good beginner plug from Tantus is Little Flirt.

Glad you enjoyed this one. I have always thought this was pretty neat but I am still a newbie and this will not work for me.
