A play partner is just what it sounds like: a person you play with in a BDSM setting. Generally speaking, if someone is your ‘play partner,’ you enjoy playing together, and you’ve played with them on more than one occasion.

In many cases, relationships between play partners are ‘no strings attached’. That is, there’s no defined expectations beyond occasional play sessions with each other. Often play partners are not exclusive, and do not adhere to rules outside of play time the way a committed dominant and submissive would.
